Located on McCarran International Airport, Esplanade Level in the Main Terminal 1 between Ticketing and Bag Claim, in a 4,000 s.f. “food court-style” setting.  The client and the airport were both looking for a completely new concept to replace the former Don Alejandro’s Restaurant.

The first item on RWA’s wish list was to introduce a connection with the exterior, the busy activities at the roadway below, and the aircraft movements on the runways in the distance.  The south wall of the venue is well protected from harsh sunlight by a deep overhang, allowing travelers and employees a comfortable and refreshing expansive view. 

The Layover Bar and Lounge design is progressive with RWA’s industrial-contemporary style, through the use of durable yet warm materials.  Mobile device charging stations, WI-FI, and TVs are plentiful throughout the open seating area, which is served by the adjacent Wendy’s and Starbucks restaurants.
