TERRIBLE HERBST TRAVEL CENTER JEAN

The I-15 corridor between Los Angeles and Las Vegas is an essential piece of Las Vegas’ tourism. Terrible Herbst, Inc. sought to serve the needs of travelers with a unique set of amenities for its Terrible’s Roadhouse store, located in Jean, Nevada. The Client’s focus on speed and, convenience was a key design element. A great amount of attention was paid to the redundancy of offerings within the 50,000 square foot store, with 96 fuel pumps, 60 restroom stalls, 72 soda dispensers, and multiple checkout counters at each egress. Ease of circulation, both on-site and within the store, was an important component. A multitude of unique attractions were incorporated to further captivate the customer, creating places within the place. The inclusion of a full-size candy store with merry-go-round, auto parts store, and the White Castle Burgers restaurant solidifies this store as a “must-see” for the passing highway travelers.
