SMITH & WOLLENSKY

Smith & Wollensky Las Vegas first made its debut on the Las Vegas Strip in December 1998. After nearly 20 years, Smith & Wollensky closed the original location and RWA reprised its role as their architect of record in the development of the restaurant’s new Strip location inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort.

In order to meet schedule and budget constraints, the development team decided early in the design process to remodel the tenant space that was previously also a restaurant. This allowed for the re-use of the stairs, elevator, and the majority of the kitchen areas.

The result is an all-new two-story, 14,000 square foot steakhouse with classic charm and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Upon entry, visitors experience a tavern‐like open concept bar and lounge, open to the full two‐story volume. The upper level is the main dining area accommodating up to 500 patrons, broken into several smaller private dining areas, and a second bar/lounge area.
